Atlanta, Georgia - May 2026 - When OutKast entered the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, André 3000 said, “Great things start in little rooms. We started in a little room.” The same holds true for jazz today. The performances on this second album from saxophonist Tyler Levy were recorded live in little rooms across greater Atlanta: in small clubs, on tiny rooftops & at everyday events. Nothing here was made with AI or in a studio. What you hear is what makes live jazz so great: risk-taking, serendipity & emotional expression in real time. It is fitting that this work ends with a take on OutKast’s “Prototype,” a reminder that, even in times of great upheaval, the things that help us keep the faith still begin in little rooms.
